Skyrise launches 4th building project for BPOs in Asiatown IT Park
ONLY a year since launching their last project in Asiatown I.T. Park in Cebu City, a major real estate developer launched a new building last week.
Skyrise 4 adds at least 13,200 square meters of space for business process outsourcing (BPO) companies.
Harry Valloria, Skyrise Realty and Development Corp. president, said Friday’s launch was their response to the “continuous demand” for space by existing clients and new outsourcing companies wanting to set up office in Cebu.
With Skyrise 4, they now have almost 50,000 square meters of leasable space.
Up to 95 percent of the companies leasing spaces in Skyrise 1 to 3 are BPO companies.
“In our Skyrise 4 project which has 17 stories, we already have prospective clients, existing and new, who expressed interest, but we have not signed contracts yet,” said sales director Ma. Noreli Almazan.
Each story has an area of at least 1,100 square meters.
Twelve floors are reserved for offices.
Architect Paul Morgia said the first floor will be for commercial clients while the second to fifth floors will be used for parking spaces to accommodate more than 200 cars.
“Skyrise 4 will also have energy efficient features like reflective glass and insulated panels that will help maximize airconditioning,” Morgia said.
One prospective customer, Qualfon Cebu, is a tenant in Skyrise 3 or the Qualfon Building.
Joslyn B. Canon, country manager of Qualfon, said that they are accepting more accounts this year and will be looking at Skyrise 4 for their space requirements.
“We have 3,600 employees right now for a single account only and we have already occupied Skyrise 3. We’re definitely looking for more space to accommodate more people for our new accounts soon and we’re seeing Skyrise 4 for that,” Canon said.
Skyrise 4 will be completed by the second quarter of 2011 according to Almazan.
