“Green Is It!” is the flagship of this year?s CBM of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) as the three-day conference slated on June 22-24 at the Cebu International Convention Center aims to gather the ICT and BPO industry stakeholders in government, academe and Industry.
The Cebu ICT & BPO Conference and Exhibition 2010 will provide a venue for building the roadmap that would make Cebu a major ICT and BPO hub and likewise recognize last year?s achievements from the various sectors in furthering Cebu?s position as a pivotal center for ICT and BPO.
CBM-ICT Chairman Jerry Rapes said the conference this year “seeks to remind the industry players the need to develop awareness and to implement environment-friendly technologies and initiatives as we plot the growth of this fast growing industry.”
The Conference will consist of a Plenary Session and simultaneous breakout sessions to be handled by the local implementing partners. Participants will surely have an opportunity to hear from a cross-section of international and local speakers from the government, educators, analysts, and technology providers on the vision of each of the participating stakeholders. It will showcase the ICT industry?s current status ? its achievements, challenges, and unfinished tasks ? in all the areas and destinations where ICT has taken root and is being relentlessly pursued, this is learned.
An ICT Exhibition within the CBM Green Expo will also be installed which would highlight products, services and technologies with green initiatives and practices.
“The challenge now is to grow from an Outstanding Emerging Destination to a Major ICT and BPO Hub. Let us get together for Green is IT!,” Rapes added. (PIA-Cebu/FCR)
